Alex joined the Murphy Lab as a PhD student in the fall of 2020 where she studied the role of the immune microenvironment in airway epithelial maintenance and repair. After defending her thesis in March 2023, Alex transitioned to the role of postdoctoral fellow and is continuing her work studying the pulmonary innate immune microenvironment, focusing on pulmonary macrophage heterogeneity. In her free time, Alex enjoys cooking, camping, hiking, kayaking and spending time with animals.
